1/350 USS Chicago Protected Cruiser (1885) (Coming Soon)
The USS Chicago was launched from John Roach & Sons Shipbuilders in Chester, PA in 1885. She was commissioned as a Protected Cruiser in 1889 and served in the US Navy in various capacities until struck in 1936, after foundering under tow. This ship was the first command of future Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz, from July, 1920-April 1922.
We will offer this kit in 3 versions: As Launched: 1885, Spanish American War fitting: 1898, and World War I fitting.
