Canadair CL-52 X059 Royal Canadian Air Force

These are 1/72 scale decals for Canadair CL-52 X059, operated by the Central Experimental and Proving Establishment (CEPE), Royal Canadian Air Force.

The Canadair CL-52 was Canada's sole B-47 Stratojet — a single B-47B loaned by the United States Air Force to the RCAF under a mutual defense arrangement. Canadair was responsible for its operation, and it was assigned to the CEPE, Canada's premier flight test and evaluation organization, based at RCAF Station Uplands near Ottawa.

The CL-52 was used to evaluate jet bomber operations, avionics, and systems in the Canadian context, giving the RCAF direct experience with the most advanced swept-wing jet bomber technology of the era. As the only B-47 ever operated outside the United States, X059 holds a unique place in both Canadian and international aviation history — an exceptionally rare and distinctive modeling subject.
