Cessna A-37B Dragonfly 73-1095 New York Air National Guard

These are 1/72 scale decals for the Cessna A-37B Dragonfly 73-1095, assigned to the 138th Tactical Fighter Squadron, New York Air National Guard — better known as the "Boys From Syracuse."

The 138th TFS was based at Hancock Field, Syracuse, New York, and operated the A-37B Dragonfly in the light attack and close air support role during the 1970s and into the 1980s. The A-37B was a combat-proven development of the T-37 Tweet trainer, re-engineered with more powerful General Electric J85 turbojets, a reinforced airframe, and eight underwing hardpoints for a wide variety of ordnance — battle-tested in Vietnam as a highly effective COIN and ground attack platform.

The "Boys From Syracuse" nickname reflects the proud local identity of this Air National Guard unit, whose citizen-airmen balanced civilian careers with a frontline combat mission. A great subject for collectors interested in ANG operations and the A-37's colorful service history.
