These are 1/72 scale decals for Cessna L-19A Bird Dog 51-11972, assigned to Continental Army Command (CONARC), United States Army.

Continental Army Command was the major Army command responsible for organizing, training, and equipping all U.S. Army forces stationed within the continental United States. CONARC oversaw a vast network of training centers, schools, and installations, and its liaison aircraft like the L-19A Bird Dog were used for command communications, staff transport, and coordination across its far-flung stateside organization.

This particular aircraft also served as a temporary testbed for tricycle landing gear evaluation — an interesting experimental footnote in the Bird Dog's development history, as the Army explored whether an alternative undercarriage configuration might offer operational advantages over the standard tailwheel arrangement. The model should be finished in Olive Drab.
