Cessna L-19E 11213 Japanese Ground Self Defense Force

These are 1/72 scale decals for Cessna L-19E 11213, operated by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF).

Japan was one of the most significant export operators of the Bird Dog, acquiring both L-19A and L-19E variants for the JGSDF's liaison, observation, and training missions. The L-19E was an improved variant featuring a more powerful 213 hp Continental O-470-11 engine, offering better performance over the earlier A-model, particularly useful in Japan's varied and often mountainous terrain.

The JGSDF's Bird Dogs served for many years in the liaison and forward observation role, supporting ground forces across Japan's home islands. Operating under the constraints of Japan's postwar constitution, the JGSDF developed a capable and professional organic aviation arm, and the L-19E was a foundational aircraft in that effort.
