Chicago L 2000 Series

These are N scale 3D printable files for the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) 2000 Series rapid transit car, built by the Pullman Car Company in 1964 for service on the Chicago 'L' system. Designed to fit on a Tomytec TM-04/TM-20 motorized chassis. Available in four decal variants: Alpine White and Mint Green, Platinum Mist, Bicentennial, and Spirit of Chicago.

The 2000 series was built by the Pullman Car Company — one of the most storied names in American rail history, whose passenger car and transit car manufacturing legacy stretched back to the 19th century. Delivered in 1964, the 2000 series cars occupied a pivotal position in the evolution of the Chicago 'L' fleet, arriving after the painted steel 1-50 series cars of 1959 and before the landmark 2200 series of 1969 that introduced stainless steel construction to the system. Like the 1-50 series, the 2000 series cars carried the CTA's evolving painted liveries through their service life, accumulating a rich variety of color schemes that make them a rewarding subject for modelers interested in capturing different eras of Chicago 'L' history.

The four decal variants trace the 2000 series through its livery history:
