These are 1/72 scale decals for Fairchild-Republic A-10C Thunderbolt II 78-0693, assigned to the 104th Fighter Squadron, 175th Wing, Maryland Air National Guard, in a spectacular commemorative 1930s paint scheme.

The 104th Fighter Squadron is one of the oldest flying units in the Air National Guard, with roots stretching back to the interwar period — making the choice of a 1930s commemorative scheme a deeply personal tribute to the squadron's own heritage. The bold prewar markings — with their bright colors, distinctive insignia, and period-accurate styling — evoke the golden age of Army Air Corps aviation, when pursuit squadrons wore vivid unit colors as a matter of pride and tradition before the drab camouflage of World War II swept them away.
