These are 1/72 scale decals for Douglas A-24B Banshee 42-54736, assigned to the Headquarters Flight Section, 13th Air Force, United States Army Air Forces.

The 13th Air Force — nicknamed the “Jungle Air Force” — was the USAAF numbered air force responsible for operations across the Solomon Islands, New Guinea, the Philippines, and the broader Southwest and Central Pacific theater. Headquartered at various locations across the Pacific as the Allied advance progressed, the 13th AF's Headquarters Flight Section operated utility and liaison aircraft like the A-24B to support command communications, staff transport, and courier duties across the vast distances of the Pacific theater.

By the time this aircraft served in the headquarters role, the A-24B had largely transitioned out of frontline dive bombing duties and into the utility and liaison mission — its reliability and reasonable range making it well-suited for the long overwater legs between island bases. The striking natural metal finish reflects the late-war shift away from camouflage as Allied air superiority over the Pacific became overwhelming.
