These are 1/72 scale decals for Douglas RB-26C 44-35581, assigned to the 363rd Tactical Reconnaissance Wing, United States Air Force, circa 1955.

The RB-26C was a dedicated photographic reconnaissance conversion of the Douglas B-26 Invader, with cameras installed in the nose and fuselage in place of the bombardier's position and bomb bay equipment. Fast, low-flying, and capable of operating by day or night, the RB-26C was one of the USAF's primary tactical reconnaissance platforms of the early Cold War — gathering the battlefield and strategic imagery that commanders needed to understand enemy dispositions, assess damage, and plan future operations.

The 363rd Tactical Reconnaissance Wing was one of the USAF's premier tactical reconnaissance organizations, operating RB-26Cs and other reconnaissance types in the critical intelligence-gathering mission during the tense early years of the Cold War. Based at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, the 363rd TRW maintained a rapid-deployment capability to provide theater commanders with timely photographic intelligence anywhere in the world.

A sleek and purposeful subject that captures the Invader in one of its most important and often overlooked Cold War roles. Please allow some time for decal printing and shipping.
