These are 1/72 scale decals for Fairchild-Republic A-10A Thunderbolt II 75-0262, assigned to the 66th Fighter Weapons Squadron, United States Air Force, in the dramatic experimental “Jaws” paint scheme.

The 66th Fighter Weapons Squadron was the A-10's dedicated weapons and tactics development unit, responsible for pushing the Thunderbolt II to its operational limits and developing the doctrine, tactics, and techniques that would define how the aircraft fought. Based at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada — the home of USAF weapons and tactics excellence — the 66th FWS was at the cutting edge of A-10 employment throughout the aircraft's early service life.

The experimental “Jaws” scheme was one of several camouflage and marking concepts evaluated on A-10s during the late 1970s and early 1980s as the USAF sought to optimize the aircraft's visual signature for the low-altitude, close air support environment it was designed to dominate. The bold shark-mouth and eye markings — applied to exploit the A-10's already aggressive nose profile — made 75-0262 one of the most visually striking aircraft in the entire USAF inventory and a perennial favorite among aviation enthusiasts and modelers.

A must-have for any A-10 collection and one of the most eye-catching decal subjects in the catalog. Please allow some time for decal printing and shipping.
