These are N scale 3D printable files for the AMTK Horizon Fleet Dinette Car — the food service car of AMTK's Horizon Fleet, the single-level intercity passenger equipment built by Budd Company in the 1970s and 1980s for AMTK's medium and long-distance corridor services. Available in four decal variants: Phase III, Phase IV, Phase V, and CDTX Central Valley Service.

The Horizon Fleet was AMTK's workhorse single-level equipment, designed to replace the aging inherited fleet of postwar streamliner cars on routes where the bilevel Superliner equipment was not suitable — primarily on eastern corridor routes and shorter western services where low platform stations and tunnel clearances precluded the use of double-deck cars. Built to a modern, utilitarian design with large windows and comfortable seating, the Horizon cars became the backbone of AMTK's single-level fleet and remain in service on many routes today.

The Dinette was the Horizon Fleet's food service car — a combined café and seating car providing light meals, snacks, and beverages to passengers in a casual counter-service setting, distinct from the full dining cars of AMTK's long-distance trains. The Dinette's compact food service operation was well-suited to the shorter corridor routes where the Horizon Fleet primarily operated, where passengers needed convenient food access without the full dining car experience.

The four decal options span the Horizon Fleet's service history:

  • Phase III — the Dinette in AMTK's Phase III livery, the bold red, white, and blue scheme with the large AMTK logo that became one of the most recognizable passenger train color schemes in American railroad history.
  • Phase IV — the car in AMTK's updated Phase IV livery, reflecting the evolution of AMTK's passenger car color scheme in the 1990s.
  • Phase V — the car in AMTK's current Phase V livery, the contemporary scheme carried by AMTK equipment today.
  • CDTX Central Valley Service — the car in the livery of the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans/CDTX), representing Horizon Fleet Dinettes assigned to California's state-supported San Joaquin corridor service connecting Oakland/Sacramento with Bakersfield through the Central Valley, operated by AMTK under contract to the State of California.
