These are N scale 3D printable files for the Kansas City Southern Railway (KCS) Pullman Plan 53614 72-Seat Coach, numbered 270–279, built by the Pullman Company for service on the KCS passenger fleet.
The Pullman Plan 53614 was a high-capacity 72-seat coach design providing day coach seating for the maximum number of passengers in a standard passenger car carbody — a practical and economical choice for a railroad serving the corridor between Kansas City, Missouri and New Orleans, Louisiana through the states of Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. The KCS numbered these cars in the 270–279 series.
The Kansas City Southern was one of the most visually distinctive passenger railroads in the American South, operating its flagship Southern Belle between Kansas City and New Orleans in the railroad's striking red, yellow, and black passenger livery — a bold and immediately recognizable color scheme that set the KCS apart from the more conservative passenger train liveries of competing carriers. The Southern Belle was one of the premier named trains of the mid-South, and the KCS coaches that served alongside it carried the railroad's passenger traffic through the heart of the region.
