These are 1/72 scale decals for the LTV A-7D Corsair II, serial 71-0344, assigned to the 152nd Tactical Fighter Squadron of the Arizona Air National Guard — one of the many Air National Guard units that operated the Corsair II as a frontline attack aircraft during the Cold War era.

The A-7D Corsair II was the USAF's land-based attack variant of the Navy's A-7, and one of the most capable tactical strike aircraft of its generation. Its combination of the TF41 turbofan engine, M61 Vulcan 20mm cannon, and a sophisticated navigation and weapons delivery suite — including an inertial navigation system and head-up display — made it a precision strike platform well ahead of its contemporaries. The A-7D served with distinction in Vietnam and remained a mainstay of both active-duty and Guard attack aviation into the 1980s.

The 152nd Tactical Fighter Squadron, based at Tucson International Airport, Arizona, was the flying component of the 162nd Fighter Wing of the Arizona ANG. The unit was a long-time operator of the A-7D, and like many Guard squadrons of the era, maintained a high state of readiness that made it fully interchangeable with active-duty USAF attack units. The Arizona ANG's Corsair IIs were a familiar sight over the desert Southwest, training for the same wartime tasking as their active-duty counterparts.

A great subject for Air National Guard aviation fans and Corsair II collectors alike. Please allow some time for decal printing and shipping.
