These are 1/72 scale decals for the North American F-86A Sabre, serial 49-1262, assigned to the 94th Fighter Squadron of the United States Air Force — one of the most historically significant fighter units in American military aviation history.

The F-86A Sabre was America's first swept-wing jet fighter and the aircraft that defined air combat over Korea. Powered by a General Electric J47 turbojet and armed with six .50-caliber M2 Browning machine guns, the F-86A matched and often bested the Soviet-built MiG-15 over the infamous "MiG Alley" along the Yalu River — establishing U.S. air superiority in the world's first large-scale jet-versus-jet air war and cementing the Sabre's place in aviation legend.

The 94th Fighter Squadron, known as the "Hat in the Ring" squadron, carries one of the most distinguished pedigrees in American airpower. Originally formed in World War I as the 94th Aero Squadron — the unit of ace-of-aces Eddie Rickenbacker — the 94th went on to serve with distinction in World War II and transitioned to jets in the postwar era as part of the 1st Fighter Wing. The iconic "Hat in the Ring" insignia, representing America's entry into the fight, has been carried proudly through every era of American air combat.

A deeply historic subject spanning over a century of American fighter aviation, from Rickenbacker's Nieuports to the jet age. Please allow some time for decal printing and shipping.
