These are N scale 3D printable files for the Pullman Plan 7635 Super Dome Lounge as modified with fluted stainless steel sides — former Milwaukee Road (MILW) Super Dome cars that were re-clad with fluted sides by their subsequent Canadian operators, giving them a dramatically transformed appearance compared to the original smooth-sided Milwaukee Road configuration. Available in two decal variants: BCOL (BC Rail) and ONT (Ontario Northland "Otter Rapids").

The Pullman Super Dome was built by the Pullman Company for the Milwaukee Road as one of the three great full-length dome car designs of the postwar streamliner era — alongside the Great Northern's Great Dome and the Santa Fe's Big Dome. After their Milwaukee Road service, a number of Super Domes were acquired by Canadian railroads that undertook a significant modification: re-cladding the carbody sides with fluted stainless steel panels, transforming the smooth-sided original appearance into a profile more consistent with the Budd-style fluted stainless steel aesthetic common on Canadian passenger equipment of the era. This modification makes the fluted Super Domes immediately visually distinct from both the as-built Milwaukee Road cars and the AC-unit-modified versions, and represents a uniquely Canadian chapter in the Super Dome's post-Milwaukee life.

The two decal variants represent the two Canadian operators that ran these modified cars:

  • BCOL — BC Rail: the cars as operated by British Columbia Railway (BC Rail) on its passenger services through the spectacular mountain scenery of British Columbia, where the full-length dome provided passengers with panoramic views of the Coast Mountains and Interior Plateau.
  • ONT — Ontario Northland "Otter Rapids": the car as operated by Ontario Northland Railway, named "Otter Rapids" after the community of Otter Rapids in Northern Ontario along the Ontario Northland's route — a fitting name for a car serving the Canadian Shield wilderness north of Cochrane. The Otter Rapids operated on Ontario Northland's passenger services including the Northlander connecting Toronto with Cochrane through the boreal forests and lakes of Northern Ontario.
