These are 1/72 scale decals for Republic F-84E Thunderjet 49-2233, assigned to the 22nd Fighter Squadron "Red Hot Fighters", wearing natural metal with a bold Insignia Red (FS 11136) nose section, blue and white chevron tail stripes, Olive Drab (FS 33070) anti-glare panel, and fuselage code FS-233.

The F-84E was a major production variant of the Republic Thunderjet, introducing an enlarged cockpit, increased fuel capacity, and improved avionics over the earlier F-84B/C/D models. The Thunderjet was the USAF's primary straight-wing jet fighter-bomber of the early Cold War and Korean War era — rugged, capable, and able to carry a substantial ordnance load, it flew thousands of ground attack sorties over Korea and equipped numerous NATO air forces under the Military Assistance Program.

The 22nd Fighter Squadron, nicknamed the "Red Hot Fighters," wore some of the most visually striking markings of the early jet age — the combination of the Insignia Red nose, bold blue and white tail chevrons, and the squadron's cartoon devil mascot patch making this one of the most colorful Thunderjet schemes in the ootbModels range. The Republic Aviation manufacturer's logo and 22nd Fighter Squadron patch are included on the decal sheet. Includes two fuselage code size options: FS-233 in White and Olive Drab.

A classic early Cold War jet fighter in eye-catching squadron markings — a great subject for any Korean War-era USAF or Thunderjet collection. Please allow some time for decal printing and shipping.
