These are 1/72 scale decals for the Sikorsky SH-3D Sea King, BuNo 154107, assigned to HS-2 (Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Two) aboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) — a frontline ASW Sea King operating from the world's first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier.

The SH-3D Sea King was the U.S. Navy's definitive carrier-based anti-submarine warfare helicopter of the Cold War era, combining long range, all-weather capability, and a comprehensive sensor suite — including dipping sonar, sonobuoys, and magnetic anomaly detection equipment — into a single platform that could hunt Soviet submarines independently or in coordination with surface ships and fixed-wing patrol aircraft. Fast, capable, and shipboard-compatible, the Sea King gave carrier strike groups a potent organic ASW capability that was essential in the cat-and-mouse world of Cold War undersea warfare.

HS-2, the "Golden Falcons," was a Pacific Fleet helicopter anti-submarine squadron based at NAS North Island, California, deploying as part of carrier air wings aboard Pacific Fleet carriers including the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) — the Navy's first nuclear-powered carrier and one of the most celebrated ships in American naval history. Operating from Enterprise's deck, HS-2's Sea Kings provided the carrier battle group with around-the-clock submarine detection coverage across the vast expanses of the Pacific, standing watch against the ever-present threat of Soviet submarine activity throughout the Cold War.

A classic Cold War carrier ASW subject, and a natural companion piece to the Apollo 11 recovery Sea King for collectors of the type. Please allow some time for decal printing and shipping.
