These are 1/72 scale decals for B-17G 44-6462 "Sandusky Jo", assigned to the 710th Bomb Squadron, 447th Bomb Group, United States Army Air Forces, during World War II.

The 447th Bomb Group was a heavy bombardment unit of the Eighth Air Force, flying missions from Rattlesden Airfield in Suffolk, England, as part of the strategic bombing campaign against Nazi Germany and occupied Europe. Flying the B-17 Flying Fortress, crews like those of Sandusky Jo braved intense flak and fighter opposition on daylight precision bombing raids deep into enemy territory.
