These are 1/72 scale decals for the Vought V-326A NX41862, operated as an experimental engine testbed for Pratt & Whitney, wearing Insignia Blue (FS 15044) upper surfaces with natural metal undersides and civil registration NX41862 in two size options, with the Pratt & Whitney eagle logo.
The V-326A was the follow-on development of the Vought V-326, the second of two dedicated engine testbed airframes built by Chance Vought Aircraft for Pratt & Whitney's powerplant research program. Where the V-326 established the testbed configuration, the V-326A incorporated refinements based on the earlier aircraft's flight test results — a standard iterative approach to experimental aircraft development that allowed Pratt & Whitney's engineers to progressively improve their data quality and engine evaluation methodology. Together, the V-326 and V-326A formed a matched pair of research tools that supported the development of the radial engines powering the next generation of American combat aircraft.
The Insignia Blue and natural metal scheme with the Pratt & Whitney "Dependable Engines" eagle logo and civil registration NX41862 closely mirrors the V-326, making the two a natural display pair. The Pratt & Whitney logo is included on the decal sheet alongside registration NX41862 and manufacturer's designation V-326A in two sizes each.
A natural companion to the Vought V-326 NX41861 listing — together forming the complete Pratt & Whitney Vought testbed pair. Please allow some time for decal printing and shipping.
